Saraya Aqaba showcases the life of exclusive luxury At the Kuwait International Property Show

Saraya Aqaba announced its gold sponsorship and participation in the Kuwait International Property Show (KIPS), the largest real estate, investment, and finance exhibition held in Kuwait, during 14 - 18 April 2008, at the Kuwait International Fair Ground - Mishref.

The foundation stone of the Saraya Aqaba project was laid in January 2006, marking the beginning of construction of Saraya's first destination, among a series of luxurious destination and integrated services launched all over the world. Saraya Aqaba combines the splendour of the ancient Arab city, with the contemporary modern luxury in a state of the art resort, built around an area of 617,000 sqm encircling a man-made lagoon, adding 1.5 Km to the Gulf of Aqaba. The approximate total cost of the project is $1bn.

Saraya Aqaba consists of fully furnished residential units of various types; including grand villas, villas, townhouses, and apartments, catering for the tastes of all those wishing to acquire a luxurious home in the Jordanian city - Aqaba. The project also features four premium 5-star hotels and two boutique hotels operated by Jumeirah and Starwood, Souk Saraya with shopping and dining venues, in addition to recreational facilities, Wild Wadi Water Park, beach club, amphitheatre, pool and garden areas, Sports Park, kids club, conference centre and offices, as well as many other facilities. The Infrastructure and construction works in Saraya Aqaba have reached an advanced stage of developments on ground.

It is worth noting that the Kuwait International Property Show, organized by Top Expo Group for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences, attracts a variety of real estate, banking and investment companies. About Saraya Aqaba

Saraya Aqaba is Saraya's first destination located on the western tip of Aqaba, on the northern shores, around a man-made lagoon. The project comprises approximately 617,000 sqm (not including Radisson SAS land) of master planned development combining shopping 'Souk Saraya', dining, entertainment, freehold accommodation and cultural activities within the context of an authentically styled ancient city, all built around a man-made lagoon. The project will commence operations by the end of 2009, adding approximately 1.5km of beachfront to the Gulf of Aqaba. The approximate total cost of the project is one billion US dollar.

Saraya Aqaba features four premium 5-star hotels and two boutique hotels. Jumeirah, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality group, will operate two hotels and one boutique hotel in addition to operating the Wild Wadi Water Park while it will manage Grand Villas and Villas in this new large scale project. Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc will operate the other two hotels and a boutique hotel.

Furthermore, there will be different residential units, Al-Multaqa conference center and offices, an old souk; Souk Saraya, Al-Rimal beach club, as well as a sports park. Saraya Aqaba aims to cater to the needs of Aqaba's local residents, as well as regional and international visitors and businessmen.







Saraya's founding partners in this project are the Social Security Corporation (SSC), the Arab Bank, the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and a number of individual and corporate investors.

The exclusive build contractor for Saraya Aqaba project is Saudi Oger Ltd, ensuring the delivery of the highest specifications and construction standards.
