Qatar Business Women Award 2008 announces first workshop for potential candidates

Launched in December 2007 under the auspices of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Misnad, the QBWA 2008 announced today that the first workshop for potential candidates interested in applying for this award will take place in Doha on 28 April at The Ritz Carlton Hotel.
This workshop, which will be conducted in Arabic and English, will provide interested ladies with the relevant information and details about the application process and selection criteria for this unique award. During the workshop, attendees will be explained how to fill in the application as well as how to provide the necessary proof points and evidence for their answers.
The Qatar Business Women Award 2008 will be open to Qatari women and will be awarded in two categories - Business Owners and Professionals. To qualify for the Business Owners category, the applicant must currently own a business located in Qatar; the business must have been in operation for a minimum of three years and the applicant must have primary responsibility for the current performance of her business.
To qualify for the Professional category, the applicant may be employed in any professional sector in Qatar, where she must have worked for a minimum of three years.
