Sama Dubai delegation meets Bahrain King His Majesty Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa

The King of Bahrain His Majesty Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa received a delegation of top officials from Sama Dubai, the international real estate investment and development arm of Dubai Holding.

The delegation, headed by Farhan Faraidooni, Executive Chairman, Sama Dubai, presented a scale model of the $1bn Salam Resort Bahrain project and briefed the King of Bahrain on its current state of progress.

With enabling and foundation works making rapid headway, and on ground construction commencing in late March, Phase One of Salam Resort Bahrain is on schedule for completion in 2009.

Sama Dubai has worked closely with the Royal Court of Bahrain on the project, in line with the Kingdom's vision to develop southwest Bahrain into a prime tourist destination.

Farhan Faraidooni said:

"We are privileged to cement our ties with Bahrain through developing the Salam Resort Bahrain project. As an exclusive tourist attraction, the development will enhance the natural landscape of the south western part of the island. We are grateful to His Majesty Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa for placing his enormous trust in Sama Dubai for shaping this landmark project".


The Salam Resorts, developed by Sama Dubai, seek to harness the native resources of the region to reflect a unique theme that meets the requirements of a highly demanding tourism market.

Designed by DSA Architects, Salam Resort Bahrain is a luxury beach resort, reflecting traditional Bahraini architecture and a community living experience. Nass Murray Roberts is the main contractor for the project.

Located on a pristine beach location, just 45 km from Bahrain World Trade Center and close to Bahrain Formula 1 Track, Salam Resort Bahrain will offer premium five-star service throughout its comprehensive range of facilities.

Phase 1 of the project will include a 288-room luxury beach hotel seven waterfront hotel villas, a 20,000 sq metre state-of-the-art conference centre and six royal villas on a private island.

The second phase will encompass a residential community and retail outlets set in traditional souk style.

With a view to positioning Bahrain as a key MICE destination, the conference and banqueting options at the project will offer quality space, offering flexible planning variations close to the waterways and other facilities at the resort.

Salam Resort Bahrain resort will give an opportunity for private residence ownership, offering a wide mix of premium villas, town houses and apartments.

In order to maximize its waterfront view, the resort will boast a vast area along the beachfront stretching deep inland, as well as a network of canals throughout the site.
