Microsoft today kicked off its Microsoft SharePoint Conference in the Middle East in front of a sold-out audience of customers and industry partners highlighting the growth and success of Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007.

By surpassing global sales of $1bn this year, SharePoint is helping customers solve their most pressing information management needs.

The two day Microsoft SharePoint conference provides 'Real world guidance and experience' to users across the region. The event, held at the Al Bustan Rotana hotel in Dubai, features high-level executive speakers from Microsoft, as well as customers and partners who will share best practices on building and deploying business critical applications on the SharePoint platform. Leading technology partners including AMD, HP, Kofax, NGS and Open Text were present at the seminar to lend their support to Microsoft.
