Dubai participates in a big way in GIBTM-2008

His Highness Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority after the inauguration of the Gulf Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings exhibition here this morning visited the stall of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Mr. Khalid A. Bin Sulayem, Director General, DTCM, Mr. Awadh S. Alketbi, Executive Director, Dubai Convention Bureau, Saleh Mohammed Al Geziry, Director Overseas Promotions and Eyad Ali Abdul Rahman, Executive Director, Media Relations and Acting Director, Business Development received the ADTA Chairman at the stall.
The three-day fair opened at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre for the global meetings and incentives industry this morning.
The Chairman of ADTA welcoming the DTCM participation appreciated the fact that it had taken along more co-participants than the previous year.
HH Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan also applauded the efforts of the DTCM in the promotion of the heritage and launching of more projects for this purpose.
The event has been organized on 3950 square meter exhibition space that had attracted over 175 International exhibitors from Asia, Mediterranean and European Markets.
The GIBTM has been designed as a place to learn, gather and exchange information, create new relationships and conduct MICE business.
The event is aimed at providing a business platform in the Gulf and Middle East region for international and regional venues, hotels, destinations and suppliers to meet with meeting planners, incentive travel buyers and those involved in the meetings and incentives industry.
A total of 1168 visitors, 218 Hosted buyers representing 50 countries and regions participated in the GIBTM 2007.
