Thrifty Oman first to offer GPS Navigation to customers coinciding with new appointment

This new service coincides with the appointment of Mehdi Jaffer as the Deputy Managing Director of Al Haditha Group, the Thrifty partner in the Sultanate.

With an extensive collection of new vehicles, Thrifty is able to offer customers innovative rental options, such as the latest GPS navigation. The navigation system will guide the drivers to their destinations throughout Oman's mountainous terrain and seaside roads, making it easier to travel around the country and the wider region.

Jaffer brings to his new role with Thrifty Oman almost a decade of automotive and retail industries in markets including the USA and the United Kingdom. He also has consultancy experience, having worked with Ernst & Young in the Middle East, and is set to deliver a wealth of regional experience and customer knowledge to Thrifty Oman.

One of Jaffer's key roles will be to carve a niche for Thrifty Car Rental in Oman's burgeoning tourism sector, as well as developing long-term rental and business leasing strategies.
