United Arab Emirates: Saturday, April 12 - 2008 at 09:04
Etisalat may soon offer a service that will make use of mobile phones as a credit card, reported Gulf News. A pilot programme that will allow users to purchase products directly with their mobile phones is likely to launch later this year, according to an Etisalat senior executive. Transaction system revolves around an electronic mWallet, short for mobile wallet where users would be able to move money from their bank accounts to the mWallet, and then use those funds to pay for products and services.
