Etihad is to order up to 100 planes later this year to expand its fleet. It will buy both narrow- and wide-bodied aircraft and may split the order between Boeing and Airbus. CEO James Hogan told Gulf News that negotiations were ongoing for 50-100 jets, which would be delivered after 2012. Etihad currently has 37 planes, with six more due for delivery this year, and another 16 for delivery by 2011.
