Region's largest collection of jewellery and watch items to go on show

Expo Centre Sharjah will turn into a veritable treasure trove of watch and jewellery items for five days when the 24th MidEast Watch and Jewellery show gets under way in Sharjah tomorrow.

More than 350 exhibitors from across the world will be showcasing the region's best and largest collection of most exquisite and intricately
crafted jewellery creations, both traditional and contemporary, for the season at the show.

The show is a biannual event and is held under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council
Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Country pavilions will be a major highlight, with the Hong Pavilion set to be the biggest at the show this year. Other country pavilions include India, Italy, Thailand, Tanzania and Singapore.

Displays will include gold, diamond, pearl, silver jewellery and sets, gems, precious stones, loose pearls, pearl sets, crystals, watches, timepieces, clocks, and jewellery items.


Exhibitors are also taking part from Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Japan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka,
Turkey and the UAE, Among these countries, Lebanon will have the biggest participation with 29 exhibitors.

This year new exhibitors will come
from countries such as India, Italy, Brazil, Japan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The 24th MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show is open for traders and general visitors.

On April 15, 17, and 19 the show will
be open from 10am to 10pm, while on April 16 and 18, the visiting hours are 4pm to 10pm.

The show will be open exclusively to ladies on April 17 and 19 from 10am to 2pm.

The exhibition is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the World Gold Council and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
