The local Superbrands Council, which comprises some of the leading names in UAE business, selected Etisalat from a shortlist of 800 brands. In all, around 70 UAE companies we similarly honored.
Globally, Superbrand status is considered to be a rubberstamp of quality and innovation. It is awarded according to market dominance, longevity, customer loyalty and other criteria. The award was presented by Mike English, Director of Superbrands Middle East, to Essa Al Haddad, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Etisalat,, at the company's Abu Dhabi headquarters.
'Etisalat has more than earned this prestigious award,' said English. 'The company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to not only providing great products and customer service, but to expanding the range of its customer base. As a brand, Etisalat has achieved meaningful and lasting appeal, a true Superbrand quality that will serve it well for many years to come.'
Speaking after the presentation, Essa Al Haddad expressed his gratitude to the Superbrands Council, and pledged to observe the standards that earned it the award. 'Of course, it is gratifying to have Etisalat recognized in this way, and by such an influential organization,' he said. 'We have all worked very hard to expand and improve our services, while offering products that make connectivity more affordable, more reliable and more readily available. Our Superbrand status is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our employees.'
