Kraft launches $40m plant in Bahrain

Kraft Foods is launching a new $40m manufacturing plant in Bahrain, reported the Bahrain Tribune. The facility will produce 60,000 tonnes of the global food processor's popular brands - Tang, Kraft Cream Cheese Spread and Kraft Cheddar Cheese - for the Middle East and Africa markets. The ISO-certified plant at the Bahrain International Investment Park will create more than 250 jobs and contribute $120m to the Bahrain economy annually, the company said.
