United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 15 - 2008 at 08:17

More than 250 companies have expressed interest in obtaining branding rights for the Dubai Metro Naming Rights Project, which was launched two weeks ago, reported Gulf News. Abdul Mohsin Ebrahim, Chief Executive Officer for Strategic and Corporate Governance at RTA, said the companies include property and business firms, local and international banks, and large multinational blue-chip corporations. The RTA has offered 23 out of 47 stations and two lines of the Dubai Metro project for corporate branding to raise revenue. The remaining 16 stations will continue to bear the names of landmarks and historic areas.
