Geonggi Contents Digital Agency signs MoU with INDEX Holding

This is concluded in a memorandum of understanding signed in Dubai between Geonggi Contents Digital Agency GDCA represented by Mr. Byung - Heon Kim president of GDCA and Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani president of INDEX Holding.

Mr. Byung said, "GDCA shall promote Character Dubai Show among the potential companies within Gyeonggi Province and provide the necessary support to the companies who are intending to participate in Character Dubai 2008 scheduled from 28 to 30 October 2008 under GDCA pavilion."

He added, "GDCA will also provide the required technical and educational support to index in its endeavor to develop an Academy specialized in Character, Animation and Digital contents."

MR.Abdul Salam Al Madani President of INDEX Holding said, "The signature of this MoU reflects the growing interest of Korean companies to tap the growing market of Dubai and the UAE in general. Derived by the Government pro business polices, stable economy and excellent infrastructure particularly in the sector of communication and IT Dubai succeeded in sustaining its competitive advantage as an international business hub in the entire MENA region."

He added, "INDEX and GDCA of South Korea believe that they have much to share and are committed to work collectively in promoting their activities and developing business opportunities both in Dubai and in S. Korea in character, animation, leisure and entertainment industry.

INDEX shall promote GDCA companies activities in Dubai, the UAE and in the Middle East and North Africa.

He added, "Character Dubai is the first and only dedicated show in the Middle East for marketing and licensing of cartoon characters, logos, films, brands, arts & designs is scheduled to make its debut on October 28 - 30, 2008 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair - Character Dubai is officially supported by Dubai Convention Bureau, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) and Arab Media Group as Official Media partner. Further bolstering the tremendous publicity and promotion of the event is the tie-ups with Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai land, which is also the event official Platinum Sponsor.

Character Dubai is a member of the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association LIMA, will provide a remarkable opportunity to brand-owners, retailer, consumer product manufacturers, licensors of Character and Animation agencies, media companies to mingle with the decision makers, licensing agents and marketing professionals from overseas.
