Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders to promote national spirit of entrepreneurship at Careers UAE 2008

During its participation in the seventh edition of the event, which will run from 15-17 April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Establishment will encourage visitors to set up their own private businesses instead of seeking conventional employment opportunities.

Al Janahi encouraged delegates to visit the Establishment's stand, at Zabeel Hall, DICEC, to acquaint themselves better with the facilities and incentives available for emerging entrepreneurs that will help them translate their dream projects from the drawing board to a real-world marketplace.

During the exhibition, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders will also hold its 'Young Entrepreneur Competition' for high-school students at the entrance area of Zabeel Hall at DICC.

An annual initiative hosted by the Establishment, the Young Entrepreneur Competition is being introduced to the Careers UAE fair for the first time this year.

The contest aims to inculcate the spirit of the UAE's commercial success in young generations, and expose them to a culture of self-employment.

Participating teams will establish and manage conceptual business models and attempt to market their products in a fiercely tough environment.

The evaluation will be based on a number of pre-determined criteria such as feasibility studies, display and teamwork.

The winners will be announced at a dedicated ceremony that will be held at a later date by the Establishment.

The initiative will draw the participation of nearly 102 teams from schools based in the UAE.
Since its inception in 2002, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment has helped launching hundreds of small and medium sized businesses.

It offers a wide spectrum of enabling services to its members, ranging from business consultancy, training programmes, and logistical support to facilitating contractual agreements with leading government and private sector companies.
