'Careers UAE' provides an important strategic platform that will gather employers from different sectors and UAE graduates. The exhibition offers opportunities for employers to uncover new talents and to source the most skilled and qualified people that meet their needs. The exhibition additionally provides an opportunity for companies to remain abreast with the latest standards of training provided for UAE nationals and to offer their vacant positions for new, talented graduates.
'We seek to meet with UAE nationals that are considering careers in the world of Banking and Finance' said Mr Asim Ahmed Al Ali, HR Manager for Dubai Bank. 'We are proud of our leading position as the ideal choice for clients, given our stature as a national Sharia'a compliant financial institution. We seek to recruit more UAE nationals, to meet the requirements of the current boom in the bank in terms of new branches, expanding business lines, diversifying products and services and growing the client base', he added.
'The exhibition will provide us with an opportunity to meet with young Emirati talents who are seeking success in their careers and lives, as part of our efforts to contribute to the national economy and provide our young people with job opportunities for building a brighter future, in line with the visionary leadership of the UAE,' he said.
Dubai Bank is actively seeking to source the best local talents available, as one of the fastest-growing ethical and Shari'a-compliant finance institutions in the region.
There is currently a strong interest in the exceptional quality of UAE national jobseekers, a fact reflected in the official Emiratisation figure of 22% at the end of 2007. Dubai Bank's own Emiratisation target for this year has been set at 26 percent, and, through participating in this and similar events, it is aiming to exceed this target by attracting both new graduates and experienced UAE nationals to join its ranks as one of the region's fastest-growing ethical and Shari'a-compliant finance institutions.
'Those graduates who join Dubai Bank will be provided with firm opportunities to develop their skills and abilities, and thus accelerate their career progression,' said Mr Al Ali. 'Through various training programmes and courses specifically designed to enhance their professional qualifications and combine their education and talents with their areas of interest, those graduates employed by Dubai Bank will be set on the road to becoming the sector leaders of tomorrow.'
Dubai Bank's commitment to the goals of Emiratisation has also resulted in its adoption of the one-year Ruwaad trainee programme for new UAE national graduates. The programme offers the selected graduates an opportunity for comprehensive, hands-on career training by placing them in various departments and branches of the bank where they can benefit from on-the-job training. The Bank is keen to participate in all the career forums and exhibitions held in the country throughout the year.
Over the past year, Dubai Bank has expanded swiftly, releasing a number of new Islamic finance products and opening up a total of ten new branches throughout the UAE. This rapid growth and development, which does not look set to stop anytime soon, ensures that potential employees will have excellent opportunities for career development, a fact that many will take into consideration when they are looking around at the Fair.
Dubai Bank seeks to exceed 26% Emiratisation goal
Dubai Bank will be participating in the eighth annual 'Careers UAE' exhibition, which is taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 15th to the 17th of the month.
