HUMMER HUB with Mannai Trading Co. sent the invitations to their valuable members and customers to attend the successful Arab Motors Fun Drive Event, in its fifth consecutive year.

This was the first time that HUMMER HUB had participated in the Fun Drive event organised by Arab Motors, the leading media company in Qatar.

Formed for and managed by HUMMER owners, the HUB is an outdoor activity oriented club with the mission to explore the outdoors in a safe and environmentally-friendly fashion.

Its activities include camping trips, desert challenges, treasure hunts, and much more.

The hugely successful fun drive was attended by around seventy HUMMER aficionados from all over Qatar.

While driving in the desert, 4x4 enthusiasts of various nationalities and age groups were able to demonstrate the unbeatable and class leading off-road capabilities of their HUMMER H2's and H3's.

After seeing the overwhelming response from HUMMER fans, ¬¬¬ Jimmy Chamata, Marketing Manager, Mannai Trading Co. commented, "Inviting our customers was part of our consistent efforts in enhancing their ownership experience. We are happy that our customers enjoyed their drive from on-road to rocky terrains, demonstrating the unbeatable capabilities of the HUMMER H2 and H3".

HUMMER is an iconic, ultimate vehicle, with a fan base that continues to grow thanks to its unconventional power and strength, which allows it to take on any kind of obstacle both on-road and off-road.

Ahmed Soudodi, HUMMER Marketing Manager in the Middle East said, "HUMMER has always driven that adventurous passion among its fans due to its unmatched style and capability, and it's always a great feeling seeing our customers driving their own HUMMERS and seeing them at their best -off-road".

2008 HUMMER H3

The HUMMER H3 packs uncompromising HUMMER style and capability into its midsize dimensions. Compared to the H2, the H3 is 429mm shorter in length, 152mm shorter in height and 165mm narrower. Roughly the same length as a midsize family sedan, H3 comfortably navigates city traffic and delivers HUMMER's trademark crawling and climbing capability.

The HUMMER H3 carries over the Vortec 3.7-litre powerplant. This 3.7-litre inline five-cylinder unit offers an excellent combination of power and efficiency, delivering 255 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 367 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm.

2008 HUMMER H2

The iconic HUMMER H2 enters 2008 with a raft of changes, delivering a more refined interior that combines luxury with HUMMER's legendary ruggedness; enhanced safety features and a more powerful engine that is coupled with a new, six-speed automatic transmission. The new powertrain combination improves efficiency when compared with previous models.

The new powertrain combination consists of a 6.2-litre all-aluminum small-block V8 engine, rated at 393 horsepower (net) at 5700 rpm and 563 Nm of torque (net) at 4300 - an increase of about 20 percent over the previous engine - and a Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission.

Performance-optimizing engine technologies, such as variable valve timing, and the six-speed's wide gear ratios, including a "tall" overdrive gear, enable the improved performance and efficiency over previous models.
