This, he said, would enable them to assume leading positions at Dubai World's subsidiary companies at home and abroad, especially in Dubai World's flagship business units, such as Nakheel, Limitless, Drydocks World and Jafza International.
Addressing the senior officials and managers present at the stand, Sheikh Mohammed directed them to expedite and enhance the process of improving national human resources' skills by organizing both academic and practical training programmes at all levels, with a particular focus on administrative and technical affairs.
Mr. Farid Mohammed Ahmed, Secretary General, Dubai World said:
"Dubai World has established a new center for creativity and development dedicated to the qualification of cadres working in the group business units, and connected this center to higher studies programmes for the development of national leadership in cooperation with a number of renowned academic institutions and universities, at the top of which are Wharton College, University of Pennsylvania and the European School for Business Administration, INSIAD".
Mr. Farid Mohammed emphasized that Dubai World has always sought to attract talented national youths to join its workforce in various positions, and provided them with special qualification and development programmes to take on leading functions.
Mr. Farid also confirmed that Dubai World will exert its best efforts to continue this approach, and called upon all those interested in working with the Group to visit the Dubai World stand at Careers UAE 2008 Exhibition to get information about the job openings.
The first day of the Exhibition attracted a large number of visitors who converged on Dubai World stand at Zaabeel Hall, where they were received and interviewed by senior managers and officials as well as heads of Human Resources from the various business units, who answered their inquiries and discussed vacancies that have opened up in various subsidiary companies.
In its efforts aimed at supporting the objective governmental trend to create more jobs for the UAE nationals, Dubai World relies on a transparent approach based on treating all UAE national applicants equally and fairly to fill its vacancies.
Dubai World is also keen on paving the way for the national workforce to participate in its growth process and expansion of its businesses on local and international levels in various investment sectors.
The Dubai World stand at the Careers UAE 2008 Exhibition covers an area of 1200 square metres and features a number of its subsidiary companies, such as: Nakheel, Istithmar, Limitless, DP World, Dubai Maritime City, Drydocks World, Leisurecorp, Dubai Multi Commodities Center, Economic Zones World and Trakhees.
