GM sales rise 6% in Middle East
Wednesday, April 16 - 2008 at 07:17
General Motors Middle East has announced that its sales increased 6% from 30,673 in the first quarter of 2007 to 32,440 in the first quarter of 2008, reported Gulf News. Terry Johnsson, president of General Motors-Middle East Operations, said the increase is partly due to the company's $80m investment in customer service, which has improved the availability of spare parts. He also said that full-sized SUVs brought over from the US are very popular in the region, and the weak state of the dollar gives the product a good value.
