Sacodeco wins SR150m contract for interiors and external design works at King Abdallah University of Science and Technology

Dr. Faisal Alaquil, Director, Business Development of Construction Products Holding Co. (CPC) said the contracts cover woodworks including doors, windows, wardrobes, floors, ceilings, wallpaper, gypsum works, GRC, painting, false ceiling and curtains.

The contracted works will be completed within 10 months according to the work schedule of Aramco, the project, he said.

"These contracts are in addition to other Sacodeco residential, commercial and hotels construction projects in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Jeddah that have been contracted for previously," Dr. Alaquil added.

"Sacodeco is well-known for its commitment to completing its projects on time, and its emphasis on quality rather than quantity," he said.

Based in Jeddah, Sacodeco has five factories - a woodwork factory, curtains and upholstery factory, gypsum and finishing works factory, a GRC factory and a portable cabin factory.

"All these factories are equipped with the most advanced European production lines and technologies for the manufacturing and installation of wood, drapery, curtains, upholstery, furniture, gypsum works, painting, finishing works sculpturing and packaging," Dr. Alaquil said.

The company provides a full range of internal and external woodworks, including doors, windows, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, wood floors, wallpaper, ceilings and portable cabins, in addition to a full line of furniture and decoration accessories through its Debage Showroom located in Jeddah.

Sacodeco provides its services through a large group of highly qualified engineers and skilled craftsmen, technicians and specialized consultants.

Dr. Alaquil said CPC trains Saudi engineers and technicians at its factories and at training centers to prepare them for various management and operations jobs at its factories.

CPC is creating more job opportunities for Saudis to cope with the renaissance presently taking place in all areas in Saudi Arabia," Dr. Alaquil said.

CPC went into operation with seven companies nearly two years ago and soon expanded into neighboring markets, such as Damascus (Syria), Cairo (Egypt) and Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Currently owning15 companies, including 14 factories specializing in construction products and a transportation company, CPC plans to enter the Algerian and Indian markets, Dr. Alaquil said.

For serving as a one-stop construction solutions center, the company was recently qualified for the Algeria Economic Forum's "Leadership in Investment" award.
