Al-Futtaim Technologies to provide home automation for Orange Lake project

The home automation suite will allow home owners to control music, movies, light, temperature and security systems from anywhere in the house.

The Al-Futtaim Technologies' solution delivers a positive environmental impact, not only giving control of the various functions of the home, but also making it easier to manage and therefore conserve precious resources like energy and water.

The Al-Futtaim Technologies' solution uses dimmers, timers and occupancy sensors to reduce energy waste.

For example, the home automation solution for a standard 3-bedroom house can eliminate over 850-pounds of CO2 emissions.

Venkat Raghavan, General Manager of Al-Futtaim Technologies said that the solution will help significantly reduce energy consumption without compromising on lifestyle.

The Orange Lake development will overlook the third and fourth holes at the northern end of the Fire course - designed by Greg Norman.

The project comprises of 68 luxury homes that feature state-of-the-art four, five and six bedroom apartments complete with private pools, Mediterranean landscaping and elegant finishing. The project is scheduled to be completed by Q4 of 2009.
