The program encourages UAE nationals to further their individual career paths in the fast-growing cable industry through orientation, training and guidance.

The program is set to attract a variety of job seekers at the Careers UAE event being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 15 - 17 April, where Ducab is reaching out to ambitious and competent National graduates seeking to pursue a career across all departments.

Ducab's very own Educational Development Department has devised the National Development Program (NDP) that will process and manage the entrants' recruitment, draw-up an individualized career plan based on his or her capabilities, provide training through the entrants' active participation in all relevant areas and workshops, and finally the entrants' placement within the company's structure.

Commenting on the aforementioned, Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Barwani, General Manager of the IT and Educational Development Department, said:

'The program offers graduates and vocational trainees, either fresh out of a national or international University, an exceptional opportunity to become part of one of the best programs available in the UAE market today'.

'In fact, it is my department's responsibility to fully understand each and every single individual's career ambition. This program guarantees a successful career progression model through a very simple methodology of capitalizing on his or her forte and providing him or her with an individualized program to suit their specific requirements,' Al Barwani added.

Commenting on last year's event, Ducab's General Manager Human Resources and Administration, Mohammed Al Quraishi said: 'Last year we were impressed with the candidates that approached Ducab, in terms of their interest in the industry and the high standards of their educational background. Careers UAE provided us with an ideal platform and facilitated the initial stages of the recruitment process. As a result, we successfully took on nationals across the organization's departments. This year we are looking to hire graduate trainees with engineering qualifications or other similar vocational skills in various departments. They will be trained and in the future will take on supervisory and managerial roles within Ducab'.

Having recently announced record year turnover sales of Dhs2.4bn combined with the increasing demand for cables regionally, the company has reinforced the need for a stronger and more aggressive national recruitment program.

Mr. Andrew Shaw, Ducab's Managing Director, said: 'This program is yet another demonstration of our dedication to fulfill our commitments towards the nation and the industry, both social and commercial. We strongly believe that UAE youths will lead the way forward in terms of growth and progression. We hope that they, as young, talented and enthusiastic individuals, will join us and ensure that we continue to succeed as a leading national company'.

'Contrary to popular belief, there is more to Ducab than engineering and manufacturing. A significant proportion of our employees are highly qualified engineers, however this program offers placements in all our departments including sales, logistics, finance and accounting, and marketing to name a few,' added Shaw.

Commenting on the program, a recruit from Careers UAE and now a valued member of Ducab's team, Maryam Al-Naqbi, said: 'I am very grateful for the continuous training I am getting and I feel that because of it I am able to achieve my tasks and goals successfully with knowledge and confidence. We are taught to face up to challenges as best we can. I encourage all job seekers to approach us for more information on the program either directly or at this year's Careers UAE'.

Careers UAE is a high-caliber event that enables talented UAE nationals in all fields to meet directly with recruiters and hiring managers from top companies and organizations.

It is designed to expose job seekers to an array of training and career opportunities.
