Today, The Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBS International) announced the expansion of its offshore presence with a new representative office in Dubai.
Julian Gouge, Head of Middle East and Asia International Personal Banking, commented on the launch. "We are delighted to be here. Many RBS customers move to the region and still want the services we offer in the UK/Europe without having to switch banks. Hence, our expansion into the UAE will ensure greater continuity of service for many new and existing customers as we build the UAE as a regional hub.
"RBS International looks after customers who require offshore banking from a bank that is part of the UK clearing system." Julian says "We can provide help on a wide range of short and long term savings opportunities, as well as advice on investment and treasury products. These are the type of products and services that so many people acquiring wealth need. We can assist with UK and overseas property purchases in places like Spain, as well as the essential and secure requirements such as Internet banking, allowing online currency payments."
As well as providing offshore banking needs RBS International also provides products and services to companies who relocate staff. RBS International has many years of experience in helping HR Directors who are relocating staff and will now be able to help these firms in the UAE.
