HH Sheikh Mohammad was received by Mr. Ebrahim Yaqoot, Executive Director and Ms. Maryam Sultan, Director Human Resource at the stall.
Ms. Maryam Sultan informed HH Sheikh Mohammed about the emiratisation plan of the DTCM especially in regard to higher positions within the DTCM.
She said that there are more than 700 UAE nationals presently working in the hospitality sector in Dubai.
She said DTCM is participating in the Career Fairs to attract more UAE nationals.
At present there are 79 % UAE nationals in DTCM in all jobs while the number is 86 % in leading roles within the department.
She said DTCM plans to raise the number of UAE nationals in DTCM to 100 % by 2015.
DTCM efforts in Emiratisation praised
His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai visited the stall of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in the Career Fair today and praised the role of the Department in emiratisation.
