The Leasing Fair runs from April 21st to 22nd and will provide a strategic platform for AFGRE to launch Cairo Festival City, its second mixed use development in the Middle East & North Africa region which includes the first indoor-outdoor retail and entertainment resort in Egypt.
Cairo Festival City is a premier, mixed-use 720 acre development that connects retail, dining, entertainment, hotels, luxury residential villas and apartments, offices, schools and an automotive park all in one self contained, modern 'city'. Offering a spectacular blend of contemporary themes and creative architecture Cairo Festival City will set new standards in shopping, modern living and family entertainment.
Festival Centre which together with Festival Village, will form Egypt's first indoor/outdoor shopping and entertainment destination. Festival Centre, a 140,000 sq m enclosed 3-level shopping centre, will be home to a mix of 250 international and regional retail brands. Festival Village will blend outdoor entertainment, boutique retail and dining in a gently elevated scenic pedestrian environment.
Also in the spotlight at MECSC will be two new planned expansions to Dubai Festival City's retail portfolio. The 550,000 sq ft Luxury Expansion will connect Festival Waterfront Centre to the prestigious Four Seasons Dubai Festival City; interlinking with Festival Promenade, Festival Marina and neighbouring waterfront pavilions, Trade Routes and Hub & Taste.
Festival Power Centre Expansion adds a further 258,000 sq ft of retail space plus convenient car-to-store parking, all set within a landscaped park environment. A natural extension to the existing 655,000 sq ft Festival Power Centre, the expansion will feature 25 homes furnishings, sport & leisure and restaurant outlets as well as dedicated parking for 1,300 cars.
Construction has already begun and the destination is designed to raise the bar on the regional retail experience.
