Dubai Chamber's regular participation at the careers fair once again affirms its commitment to Emiratisation as the Chamber officials give visitors a vivid picture of openings and opportunities available in the various sections of the organisation, the future growth and long-term career prospects.
HE Engineer Hamad Mubarak Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber, underlined the Chamber's interest in developing locals' skills and providing the nationals willing to work for the Chamber with an opportunity to improve their vocational skills and professional qualifications.
'The Chamber is very keen to attract national talent and invites all graduates to take up good positions with us as we are working in accordance with the Emiratisation scheme. In order to make working at Dubai Chamber more attractive, the HR Department has made amendments to the HR manual and is working hard to provide a pleasant working environment for all its employees wanting to join in'.
Accordingly, the Chamber launched a number of initiatives and programs in order to activate the Emiratisation process, attract outstanding and well-qualified nationals and upgrade the national employees' skills and performance. 'The Chamber has recently introduced the performance-based bonus scheme for all its employees which was very well received by the staff members as this was followed by the annual increments and incentives of 30% and 40% that was awarded to them at the end of 2007. We value the contribution of our staff members and make sure to apply best practices in managing the staff affairs,' said Buamim.
The director general explained that the nationals willing to work for Dubai Chamber could also benefit from the incentives the organisation provides to its employees including attractive salaries, health insurance, scholarships and off-time for studies, allowances for children's education and air tickets, getting involved in welfare and social activities, in addition to a number of training and self-development programmes and pension scheme.
Dubai Chamber's stand at the careers fair is being visited by hundreds of UAE nationals seeking jobs at the Chamber as the human resources officials on duty are providing the visitors with all necessary information including the training programs and courses the Chamber arranges for the newly-appointed national employees.
With its motto of being the first stop for all business activities in the emirate, the Chamber is keen to provide its staff a professional environment that motivates them to enhance productivity and help improve their vocational skills so as to serve its members better and to take the Chamber a step closer to its goal of becoming the best chamber in the world.
