Oil hits further above $116

Oil prices rose to a record over $116 a barrel on Friday, reported AFP. Jitters over oil supplies from Nigeria came from a Nigerian rebel group who said it had sabotaged a major oil pipeline operated by Royal Dutch Shell and vowed to step up more attacks on oil installations in the country.
