All exhibition spaces for Oil & Gas West Asia 2008 sold out

The upcoming Oil & Gas West Asia (OGWA) 2008 Exhibition and Conference, which will start on April 21st, has received an overwhelming response from oil & gas companies and industry professionals.
Omanexpo LLC, the company organising the biennial event since 1998, revealed that it has sold out all stand spaces for the exhibition, with more than 150 companies from over 20 countries now all set to showcase their products, services and operations. The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), which is organising a technical conference as part of OGWA 2008, has also been deluged with registrations from its members and other delegates worldwide.
"The large number of exhibiting companies and industry professionals converging at OGWA 2008 confirm OGWA as Oman's largest event for the oil & gas industry. It will truly highlight the exciting developments and opportunities available," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition management company in the sultanate.
Paul pointed out that the OGWA 2008 exhibition, which will run until April 23 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, will give companies a first-class opportunity to showcase what they offer to major oil & gas firms that are currently involved in exploration and production activities in many parts of the country. He pointed out that among the 150 exhibiting companies are national oil & gas companies in the GCC, leading international oil & gas firms, oilfield service providers, and many other companies that directly serve the industry.
The conference will focus on the range of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies that are currently being implemented to further boost production output in many countries, including the Sultanate of Oman. Named "The SPE EOR Conference at OGWA," it will be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel next door to the exhibition. The conference will bring together global experts in all forms of EOR techniques to present, share, and discus their experiences. Several field pilots and case studies will also be part of the discussions.
The SPE EOR Conference at OGWA is supported by PDO and Saudi Aramco as the platinum sponsors as well as Occidental of Oman and Schlumberger as the silver sponsors. The conference co-sponsors are the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), Calsep, MB Holding Company, Oman Gas Company (OGC), Partex Oil and Gas, Petrofac, Shell, Weatherford and Zakum Development Company (ZADCO).
The OGWA 2008 exhibition is officially supported by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) as well as BG Oman and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as the platinum sponsors and BP Oman and the Oman International Exhibition Centre as the gold sponsors. The co-sponsors of the event are Oman LNG, Seven Seas Petroleum, Sharaf Shipping Agency, and Weatherford.
The event is also uspported leading media companies including Pipeline Magazine as the official publication, MEED as the strategic partner, and Oil Review Middle East as the official magazine.
