- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, April 20 - 2008 at 10:28
- PRESS RELEASE
Emirates General Petroleum (Emarat) achieved success in its participation at the UAE Career Fair 2008, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 15 - 17 April, 2008.
According to Mr. Hussain Kazim, Manager Corporate Communications at Emarat, the objective of the participation was to attract national cadres and engage them in the development march towards success and the current expansion plans at Emarat in various investment areas.
He added that Emarat has committed itself to the process of investing in human capital, especially UAE Nationals. The Corporation considers these nationals as true assets, who will contribute to the future success of the corporation. He believed that the fair provided the right platform for Emarat to meet with fresh graduates and university students seeking work opportunities at the corporation or any of its affiliates. The fair also provided the right venue to compare organizational capabilities with national skills before joining the corporation.
Kazim asserted that Emarat seriously takes into consideration the responsibility of advancing national human resources. The corporation provides these cadres with the right incentives to join its ranks in line with federal government objectives and strategy. The government plan aims at enhancing the role UAE nationals play in the workplace and the community for them to become the best choice for employment in various fields. This will mainly be achieved through proper education, skills enhancement, and their ability to match the new trends and developments within the local society.
A number of Emarat officials made themselves available every day at the Corporation pavilion number Z-C3 in Zabeel Hall along with other Emarat Human Resources staff who welcomed new candidates and answered their enquiries.
