- PRESS RELEASE
Paspaley, the pearling pioneer and jeweller par excellance, unveils its highly decorative collection of pendant chains and drop earrings that combine the beauty of 18ct white gold, diamonds, turquoise and the star of them all, its fabulous South Sea pearls.
"In a journey that began over 70 years ago, Paspaley has evolved into a jeweller of prowess that never ceases to delight lovers of jewellery. Its latest creations prove its effortless mastery once again. Exquisitely finished and bringing together only the most precious materials, these jewels pay tribute to the rich heritage of Arabia. They are sure to be adored by women of discerning taste in the region and elsewhere," said Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director of Damas.
The mark of a brilliant jeweller is judged by the pliancy with which material yield to the demands of his vision and concept. In Paspaley's 2007-2008 collection, this is on superb display in creations endowed with the finest finish. This draws inspiration from the perfect orb and luminescence of its sumptuous South Sea pearls.
The stunning drop earrings which can be easily hooked on to the ears feature a spade-like design fashioned in white gold that is closely ringed by a row of diamonds and in turn dangling its precious focal point, a large South Sea pearl. While one version holds turquoise in its design, with the blue of the gem off-setting the silvery white of the metal, the other displays just the charming outline of the motif.
The collections other offerings include striking and unusual pendants resembling the turbans of yore. Paspaley's designers play with inspiration and material to offer different options such as turquoise accented and mother-of-pearl enriched pendants outlined by rows of choice diamonds. Each holds three South Sea pearls or one single pearl with diamonds on either side. What makes these pendant-chains eye catching is the slimness and vertical drop of the chain contrasting sharply with the horizontal pattern of the pendant.
Paspaley has always delighted its fans with the inspiration of its creations. Its 2007-2008 collection is a brilliant treatise to the cultural vibrancy of Arabia, in turn offering women the world over, ravishing pieces of adornment.
Revel in Paspaley's latest 2007-2008 collections now available at its exclusive boutiques in the Mall of the Emirates and Saks Fifth Avenue - Burjuman Centre and Abu Dhabi Mall.

Paspaley is the world's leading South Sea pearl company, growing the finest quality pearls in the world.
Behind the simplicity and singular beauty of Paspaley South Sea pearls is a journey that began more than 70 years ago on the remote and unspoiled coastline of northern Australia.
Paspaley's involvement in pearling dates back to 1935 when Nicholas Paspaley's father, Nicholas Paspaley Senior MBE, first collected mother-of-pearl shell in Australia's northern waters. He established a family concern that has evolved to become the world's leading South Sea pearling company. Paspaley is still proudly family-owned and operated.
Paspaley nurtures its pearls on a remote network of over 20 farms, stretching more than 2500km across the pristine waters off the northwest coast of Australia - about the same distance as London to Moscow.
Paspaley's pioneering techniques have been widely acknowledged as world's best practice, positioning the company name at the forefront of the pearling industry.
Consistent quality and supply are the hallmarks of Paspaley - a reputation achieved only through an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence and the principles of quality.
These standards have ensured Paspaley South Sea pearls are much sought after by the world's leading jewellery houses and has made the Paspaley name synonymous with the most beautiful pearls in the world.
