Sorouh, the leading Abu Dhabi-based real estate company with more than Dhs45bn of projects under way, today urged people to take the last chance to 'donate' pictures of themselves to the Sorouh Faces campaign.
For every picture 'donated', up to the target of one million, Sorouh will give $1 to a special UAE Red Crescent program to improve the housing conditions of underprivileged residents in the Northern Emirates.
More than 700,000 photos have already been submitted through a dedicated website and via promotions teams who went to schools, universities and some of Sorouh's major events and exhibitions throughout the Emirates.
Now the company is calling for one last push from across the UAE and internationally, to reach the target of one million faces - and a $1m donation.
Masood Al Aware, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Sorouh, said:
'Sorouh is proud of its business ethics and we strive to ensure that we bring communities to life in perfect balance. Intrinsic to our corporate culture is our commitment to social responsibility.
'A major aspect of this is helping underprivileged people to improve their housing conditions. Housing is one of our main areas of activity and we are delighted that Sorouh has become a founding donor to this valuable corporate social responsibility program.
'We urge every person who shares our commitment to the needs of the underprivileged to visit www.sorouhfaces.com and help us reach our target of a $1m donation'.
Sorouh will unveil the results of the campaign on 30 April 2008 - at the same time as unveiling the new Sorouh Faces poster.
The poster, which will replace the current world record-holding poster on the final approaches into Dubai International Airport, will have one million faces on its 20,000m2 area, making up a new message from Sorouh.
During the event, Sorouh will also hand over the $1m cheque it has promised to the UAE Red Crescent officials.
Last chance to support 'Sorouh Faces' and to contribute to Sorouh Real Estate's $1m donation
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sorouh Faces is a $1m charity donation project which has already succeeded in creating the largest poster in the world.
