OFFTEC implements Techno Notebook initiative at Philadelphia University

OFFTEC is making the latest mobile technology affordable for students, faculty and university employees, supported by an on-campus Techno Notebook customer service center that will be staffed by trained university students.

Dr. Marwan Kamal, President of the Philadelphia University said, “The University is making every effort to guarantee that our students are benefiting from an educational environment and a technology rich atmosphere that is practical, innovative and interactive. We believe OFFTEC’s initiative will provide our students with real-life experiences that will prepare them for their future careers.”

OFFTEC IT Solutions launched the Techno Notebook initiative in October 2007 in cooperation with Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Intel and Microsoft to provide academic users with high performance Notebooks and Tablet PCs at affordable prices and with financing options.

The Techno Notebook initiative strives to accomplish several goals such as improving students' academic results, reducing pressures on computer labs and administration costs, enhancing educational institutions' academic reputations, bridging the gap of cooperation between public universities and local IT providers, developing students' computer skills and preparing them for future careers.
