The new 1700 sq ft retail space in Al Muroor Mall is the fifth outlet to open in the last 18 months, following Safeer Mall Sharjah, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Outlet Mall and Lamcy Plaza.
"We announced aggressive expansion plans for the brand last year, which will see us open 30 new Rugland outlets by 2010," said AAF's Group Marketing Director, Shahriar Khodjasteh.
"The opening of our first Rugland outlet in Abu Dhabi is a major milestone in this planned regional growth, which will see us maintain our leading position in the flooring sector to keep pace with increasing demand for competitively priced quality interior and flooring products."
Showcasing AAF's signature own brand product portfolio of rugs, Rugland has recently introduced over 100 new stylish designs in various materials and finishes such as silk, wool and acrylic to suit different tastes and budgets. Over 300 different designs and colours are available through the Rugland retail outlets.
"We are continuously searching for new retail points to provide our customers with easy access to our wide range of products," said Farshid Niknam, Rugland's General Manager.
"Regional customers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their tastes, and increasing demand for the mid low to mid high end range of products to fulfill every home furnishing requirement has been a major factor in expanding our regional footprint."
Agreements have also recently been finalised with Ras al Khaimahs' Al Hamra Mall, Majid Al Futtaims' Bahrain City Centre and Emaars' Dubai Mall in the Downtown Burj Dubai development, with further showrooms planned for malls across the GCC.
