The announcements were made by the General Secretariat of the Arab Media Forum 2008, which is themed around 'Bridging Arab Media Through Technology', and will run until 24 April at The Monarch Hotel in Dubai. The much awaited event will bring together over 200 industry leaders from the region and overseas.
With Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) as the strategic partner of Arab Media Forum 2008, other prominent entities that have confirmed participation in the event include Dubai Pearl, Dubai Group, Emirates Airline, Nakheel, Etisalat, Tatweer, Dubai Media Incorporated, Arab Media Group, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Al Arabiya, and Young Arab Leaders.
Maryam Bin Fahad, Executive Director of DPC, said:

Top-tier regional and international media professionals and intellectuals will convene in Dubai for the annual Arab Media Forum 2008 to hold in-depth discussions on how the transformation of technology has impacted the global media. The event will draw the participation of more than 50 leading Arab media professionals from North Africa and the GCC, and the US, the UK, Germany and Australia.
