Sharjah to launch bus service in May

The UAE emirate of Sharjah will implement a new intra-city public transport bus service on three routes starting in May, reported Gulf News. The service will start with 25 buses on three routes while more buses will be added later this year. The plan calls for a total of 142 buses on 18 routes covering different areas in the emirate. There will be a fixed fare of Dhs3 (82 cents) on all three routes, which will be operational from 5:00am to 11.30pm.
