Pre-conference workshops commenced on 17th April 2008 and will continue to 23rd April in conjunction with DERMA 2008.
INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Establishment Member of INDEX Holding organize Dubai Derma in co-operation with the Dubai Health Authority - DHA, Boston University - USA, and the International Academy of Medical Specialization (IAMS) and the Department of Neutralization and Residency Dubai as the Strategic Partner.
This annual event is dedicated to practitioners, specialists, manufacturers and distributors in the field of dermatology, skin care, and skin lasers that became the pioneer in the Gulf and the Middle East region, with the motto, 'Your Skin Health is our Concern.' The Conference will be presided over by 35 imminent speakers and 150 companies displaying the latest dermatology products and services. H.E.Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General Dubai Health Authority said.
He added, 'Dubai Derma presents a perfect opportunity for all participants to enhance and update their knowledge in dermatological science and technology through a variety of courses, workshops, and lectures. The scientific program provides a perfect platform for specialists and practitioners in this field to strengthen existing relationships, and develop new ones with their counterparts from all over the world.
Dubai Derma 2008 complements the Dubai Health Authority's objective to provide training courses, conferences, and workshops specifically in the field of Dermatological Science and Medicine.
Dr. Ibrahim Galadari Conference Chairman said, 'Among the excellent educational opportunities and quality services provided for all types of dermatologists, the specialized exhibition, held in conjunction with the conference, provides an avenue for business entities in the industry to showcase and promote up-to-date equipment and techniques, and the latest product in the industry.'
He added, 'The 7th Annual Meeting of the skin experts which will be held parallel to Dubai Derma 2008 is a highly accredited meeting in Dubai, where dermatologists, laser specialists, plastic surgeons, general practitioners, and skin care specialists have the opportunity to meet and interact.'
'Indeed, with the set of partners and Organizing Committee we are confident that we will surely meet the expectations of the participants and visitors to benefit from learning the latest research practice, and issues in the field of Dermatology,' Dr. Ibrahim Galadari said.
Dubai Derma 2008 will bring together highly profound speakers from the region and around the globe covering a wide variety of educational courses, programs, and workshops. The Scientific Committee in co-operation with Boston University developed a wide array of topics that will update the participants on the latest advances, practices, and issues in Dermatology, Laser treatments, anti aging, skin, hair care, and other dermatological therapies.
As part of its commitment, Dubai Derma 2008 carefully planned its topics and courses meeting the standards of the accreditation policy for the continuing medical education for participants to earn continuing educational credits. Dubai Derma 2008 is accredited by the United Arab Emirates University 20.5 CME Points for the Conference and 28.5 CME for the Pre-Conference Courses.
Dr. Amal K. Kurban , MD, Professor of Dermatology at Boston University said 'The Department of Dermatology at Boston University, have been pioneering in fostering international academic relations in 1987 has initiated unique programs for international graduates seeking world-class training in their chosen fields of interest before returning to their homelands. The programs offer hands-on training that culminates in graduating clinical dermatologists with a sound scientific knowledge base. This is the 6th year that Boston University Dermatology is co-sponsoring Dubai Derma, represented by several faculties.'
He added, 'To enhance dermatologic training and practice beyond the confines of our base, and to foster international interaction among dermatologists especially in the Middle East, we have established cooperative ties with Dubai Derma.'
