Volkswagen GTI & R32 Club hosts first road show

The Volkswagen parade kicked-off as Behbehani Brothers, the official dealers of Volkswagen in the kingdom of Bahrain recently initiated the GTI Volkswagen Club that was formed by GTI customers across the Kingdom.

The first-ever road show on 7th March, 2008 laid the foundation of the GTI Club where an array of 20 colorful Volkswagen GTI's and R32's took to the streets of Bahrain. The procession commenced at Café Lilou in Adliya where drivers proceeded their way to Bahrain international Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir. This was followed by lunch that was hosted by Behbehani Brothers at Fuddruckers.

The formation of the club targets bringing together Volkswagen enthusiasts from all across the region and helps them enjoy their car to the fullest. The club provides an informal and exceptional experience by giving members the chance to meet other Volkswagen enthusiast at the Club's various events/gatherings.

Present at the event were Brand Manager of Volkswagen at Behbehani Brothers Mr. Felix Miranda, Sales and Marketing Coordinator Mr. Mohammed Taqi and a host of media representatives from across different publications in the region.

'GTI and R32 owners not only love their cars but also take extra care since these machines bring them utmost driving pleasure and a great deal of confidence through their safety features,' said Mr. Miranda at the event.

Initiated by a young group of GTI enthusiasts between the age group of 20-35 years, members of the club displayed their keen enthusiasm and passion for their cars throughout the course of the event.

'I believe the next parade of GTI & R32's will have at least 100 colorful vehicles and will indeed continue on the legendary GTI craze,' continued Mr. Miranda.

The GTI Club welcomes membership from all owners of Volkswagen Golf 4 GTI, V6-4motion, Golf V, GTI and R32.
