Italian holding company Weather Investments said it plans to participate in Orascom Telecom's offer to buy back up to 106 million of its shares. Weather said it intends to cash in part of its stake, while keeping its ownership of Orascom over 50%. Orascom is offering to buy back up to 10.3% of its own shares as a way to dispose of cash surpluses it says it cannot easily invest elsewhere, reported Reuters.
