Bahraini reporter snubbed in Iraq

Iraq's Foreign Minister and the Deputy Head of Mission in Bahrain have come under fire from local journalists and politicians for asking a Bahraini reporter to leave a conference room because of his newspaper's editorial stance, reported Gulf News. Abdullah Al Mannai, working for the pan-Arab Akhbar Al Khaleej, on Monday joined a group of journalists to cover a press conference held by Iraqi minister Hoshiyar Zebari. Al Mannai was informed by Ahmad Al Agha, Iraqi Deputy Head of Mission in Bahrain, that he was unwelcome at the gathering for representing a hostile newspaper. Akhbar Al Khaleej has sharply criticized the invasion of Iraq.
