Dubai Lifestyle City to replicate model in other markets

Encouraged by the huge market response received for its first Dhs2.4bn JW Marriott-branded luxury lifestyle project in Dubai, Dubai Lifestyle City (DLC), part of the ETA Star Ascon Group, is considering similar lifestyle projects in the UAE, and internationally.

In addition to Jumeirah Village in Dubai and the Madagascar Island on The World, Dubai Lifestyle City is currently considering emerging markets like India for replicating this ultra-luxury lifestyle project.

Besides JW Marriott, DLC has partnered with well-known international brands like Microsoft, Cisco and IMG Academies to give the project a special touch of efficacy, exclusivity and credibility.

Commenting on DLC's expansion plans, Arif B. Rahman, Managing Director of DLC, said,

"The DLC project based in Dubailand has been well-received by home-owners looking for the best in luxury and hospitality. Marriott Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, after leaving his hand impressions on Dubai Lifestyle City's 'Wall of Fame' recently, said: "I'm honored to be lending a hand to the Wall of Fame at Dubai Lifestyle City. This first JW Marriott-branded residential project in the Middle East will hopefully be the beginning of a vibrant partnership in this exciting 21st Century city."

Dubai Lifestyle City is the first JW Marriott-branded residential project and encompasses all the elements required to offer residents a fulfilling and luxurious lifestyle. It boasts a world-class sports academy with multi-sports venues, a 5-star luxury hotel, a 4-star sports hotel, and a shopping centre, a greenhouse with arboretum, residential condominiums, duplexes, apartments and luxury residential villas.

The 'Wall of Fame', is just one of the many unique attractions that will mark the lifestyle project. Other celebrities and world achievers who have lent their hand impressions to the DLC Wall of Fame include celebrated tennis player Maria Sharapova, renowned Indian Film Director Karan Johar and Indian Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh.

Marriott International is to add 39 more hotels to its current portfolio of 26 in the Middle East; Bill Marriott was quoted as saying in Dubai recently. "The region is a linchpin in the company's long-term vision to expand global distribution that supports its business strategy."

Dubai Lifestyle City (DLC) is a comprehensive lifestyle project conceptualized and executed by ETA Star Ascon Group.
