Aldar sponsors Majid Carnival Abu Dhabi family day

Hosted by the Abu Dhabi Media Company, the Majid Carnival will take place on Friday 25th April from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the gardens of Emirates Palace Hotel. Completely sold out, the event is expected to draw more than six thousand people. Special guests of honour will be all the orphans sponsored by Abu Dhabi Red Crescent Authority, whom Aldar has provided with free game coupons to enjoy the special day. Invitations have also been extended to all kids of Abu Dhabi Center for Autism of Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs & Minor Affairs.

Majid, the character narrator of Majid, the magazine, and his friends Caramela and Khalfan, have heralded many changes in the lives of young Arab children over the years as they have grown up learning from Majid and trusting his narrations about family values. Majid has always looked the same and been something reassuringly constant in the lives of children. Building upon its commitment to the Abu Dhabi community, Aldar has invited members of the public, families, and school children to be a part of this success story and anniversary.

A wonderful day of fun is planned for the Carnival and Family Day with acrobats and clowns, stilt-walkers, a comedy show and a magician; this carnival is the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi catering especially to children. A concert will be given by the famous Arabic band the Spicy Babies. Children who wish to participate in any of the organized games will be invited to pay a nominal fee of Dhs2 which will be donated to the UAE Red Crescent.

Aldar is working with a team of professional organisers to ensure that the carnival is conducted in a safe and efficient way for maximum enjoyment by families and small children. The volunteer organisation established by the Emirates Foundation in 2006, Takatof, will be on duty during the Majid Carnival to help ensure a successful day. All of the complimentary beverages and treats like candy and popcorn, T-shirts, capes, sunshade and colouring books will be given out upon supply of vouchers, which visitors will receive upon arrival.
