Banyan Tree Al Areen celebrates first birthday

'It has been a challenge and an honour opening the first all-villa private pool resort in the Middle East, as well as Banyan Tree's inaugural resort property in the region. Apart from pioneering an extension selection of wellness experiences at its 10,000 square metre spa and hydrothermal garden facilities - one of the region's more extensive - the team at Banyan Tree Al Areen also has been recognised for its signature brand of Asian hospitality and the holistic approach it has incorporated across all its offerings.

'We are delighted with the achievements we have made in the first year of operations and honoured to have been acknowledged by the global community. To have done so in the first year of business is truly a highlight,' added Mr. Ayari.

Since its grand opening in April 2007, Banyan Tree Al Areen's most recent international recognition came in the form of winning the Gala Spa Award for Best Luxury Hotel City/Resort presented by the renowned German magazine title. It was also placed among the 101 Most Exquisite Suites in Elite Magazine, USA and listed amongst the Top Spas in the World by Resort Magazine in Italy.
