This pact is part of DEDC's strategy to increase Dubai's exports, open new markets for 'Made in Dubai' products and encourage local business investors to venture into overseas markets.
"Dubai's exporters should first concentrate on the GCC and regional markets to increase exports while building trade relations with other international markets. This agreement will further motivate regional exporters to increase their trade activities in existing markets as well as new markets".

"Our goal is to develop growth oriented skills amongst UAE based manufacturing companies that will enhance long-term individual aspirations, provide them with a competitive edge, and enable them build closer ties with industry peers and create strong global trade relations. This membership will also enable us to utilize their technical, financial and information expertise".
The regional meeting discussed the major global trade issues such as management & credit risk finance, and trade services management with several credit allinace companies from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia and France.
Engineer-Awadi, Executive Director, Dubai Export Development Corporation has proposed the next regional meeting to be held in Dubai on January 9th, 2009.
