Dr. Abdulqader Alkhayat, Executive Director, DuBiotech, said:
"PABME provides a unique platform for market leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector to showcase their latest advancements. Its multi-track conferences will guarantee access to key international players, as well as offer avenues for exploring unprecedented business opportunities."
"DuBiotech's participation locks in with our mission to raise industry awareness, advance research and development initiatives, and encourage innovation in the region."
DuBiotech's business partners participating in the event will include Epygen Labs FZ LLC, Ergomed Clinical Research and Pharma Plan Middle East FZ LLC.
Global pharmaceuticals and biotechnology majors such as Pfizer recently joined DuBiotech's rapidly growing community. The presence of leading entities at DuBiotech is expected to add significant value to the biotechnology industry and contribute to its holistic development in the region.
Early this year, Dubiotech launched the Gulf Anti-doping and Monitoring Enterprise (GAME) as its subsidiary to conduct anti-doping tests on all professional and amateur athletes in the UAE. The life sciences park also launched the AED289 million Nucleotide Complex, the region's first dedicated modern laboratory compound to house a pre-clinical vivarium. Providing continuing education programmes, DuBiotech's newly established subsidiary - the BioTiqania Training Institute - provides world class courses in niche scientific and industrial disciplines.
In addition to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, DuBiotech aims to provide necessary infrastructure for all entities involved in the life sciences industry, including agricultural, environmental, and marine biotechnology sectors. The park also provides support services for R&D, manufacturing and commercial operations.
Offering a complete value chain to help companies set up operations, DuBiotech currently hosts 35 licensed firms. The free zone is working closely with the UAE Ministry of Health, the Dubai Health Authority, and other relevant regulatory bodies to further grow the life sciences industry in the country.
