Adobe Systems' D-Day a major success

The inaugural of Adobe Systems Incorporated's 'D-Day', a premier design conference which organised for the first time in the Middle East, recently held in Dubai, received a tremendous response from the creative industry attracting over 350 participants from the design and advertising industry.

Other delegates came not only from the advertising fields but drew impressive attendance from the printing, education, banking, architecture, construction and engineering industries as well, with more and more people embracing Adobe products and technologies in the region.

The conference featured diverse top regional and international design experts from the USA, South Africa, UK, Europe, Palestine and Saudi Arabia.

The event offered innovative information on design, photo and video, web services, motion graphics, publishing and architecture.

A rare opportunity, local design professionals gained insights on the latest trends and techniques using the creative and enterprise solutions from Adobe.

The high-powered speaker panel included Andrew Lindstrom, Regional Manager, Adobe Systems MEA; Serge Jespers, Adobe Europe; Mohammed Jogie, Adobe MEA Design Evangelist.

Additionally, the delegates had a chance to meet with the celebrities of the creative industry such as Scott Kelby, President of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and Jane Conner-sizer of Software Cinema both from the USA; Kamel Gaddas, Engineering Vice-President, Winsoft France; Mourad Boutros of Boutros International in the UK; Ernest Azzam of HP Middle East; Reda Sijny of Urban Phenomenon in Saudi Arabia and Nayer Abu Soud of Birzeit University in Palestine.

D-Day also staged Adobe Solutions Village where partners, plug-in developers, training companies, hardware and software vendors received good responses and engaged with the delegates as well as showcased their products.

Among the sponsors were Apple, HP Middle East, Winsoft, Corbis, Grapheast, Wacom, Aptec and Applied Digital Media Services.
