Siji Hotel to lure business tourists to Fujairah
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, April 24 - 2008 at 13:31
- PRESS RELEASE
Al Diar Siji Hotel, a 5-star business hotel managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) hopes to lure business tourists and corporate travelers to the Emirate of Fujairah as it participates in the ATM (Arabian Travel Market) this May 6-9 in Dubai.
"As a 5-star business hotel, Al Diar Siji Hotel has everything that corporate clients or business travelers would need in conducting meetings, conferences and other business concerns. The hotel offers one of the largest conference and banqueting rooms in the Emirate which can accommodate up to 700 guests. In fact we have hosted the 5th Fujairah International Bunkering & Fuel Oil Forum with 200 delegates from 30 countries in 2007," said Mr. Fouad Melhem, the hotel's General Manager.
"We will also promote our Executive Club which offers personalized services and complimentary benefits to our Executive Floor guests," continued Mr. Melhem.
Since inception, Al Diar Siji Hotel has positioned itself as a business hotel and its main markets are the business and corporate clients from within the UAE. However, the hotel's market expands with the growth of Fujairah as an Emirate, and is likewise targeting tourists or the leisure segments from the GCC and some European countries.
Early this year, Siji joined the elite list of 5-star hotels in the GCC with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Control Point System) certification after a series of upgrades in its F&B services, facilities and procedures. This official recognition was awarded by the global standards development group, BSI Management Systems. HACCP is recognized worldwide to ensure guests' protection with regard to food and beverage.
"It is one of the most sought-after accreditations in the food service industry and this certification is just proof of our claim that we are committed to providing world-class standard and excellent service. We are proud to be one of the first 5-star hotels in UAE and GCC to be HACCP compliant," said Mr. Melhem.
Al Diar Siji Hotel also succeeded in renewing its BS EN ISO 9001:2000 certification for 2008, a reinstatement of its efficiency in terms of quality management systems, which was first granted to the hotel in 2005.
Also at the start of this year, the hotel has installed all its rooms and suites with the IPTV or Internet Protocol Television system. IPTV encompasses audiovisual & multimedia technologies, delivers on-demand entertainment, and a comprehensive range of interactive services. This technology allows guests access to movies & music on demand, high speed internet access, video games, information center, hotel guide and wake up service. Through this interactive television system, guests can also view hotel information and services, place room service orders, and check their bills at the comfort of the hotel rooms.
Internet can also be accessed at the hotel's public areas with its broadband wireless internet connection.
Al Diar Siji Hotel's future plans include providing a laptop in every room.
