Samir Al-Schamma, Intel's General Manager for the GCC delivered a keynote presentation to students in the theme of 'The genius inside' regarding the future of technology and how it helps students grow skills that will carry them in to the 21st century. 'The annual DI@TECH is an excellent forum for students to gain first hand knowledge about the benefits of technology and demonstrate their technology skills, and we are delighted to be taking part again. Technology has an amazing ability to encourage and facilitate greater interaction in the classroom, helping teachers equip students with tools for future development, and making them the leaders of tomorrow.
Commenting on the students and their demonstrated projects at DIA today, Al-Schamma said: 'I am amazed with the sophistication and brilliant skills that the students demonstrated today at DI@TECH. Absolutely technology brings out the genius in us'.
Intel additionally helped judge the student animation competition which involved and Intel gave away a total of four Asus laptops to winners of the two main projects, the raffle draw and the DI@TECH competition.
Intel sponsors annual technology fair at Dubai International Academy
For the second consecutive year, Intel proudly sponsors the Dubai International Academy 3rd annual technology fair (DI@TECH), to encourage students to celebrate the importance of technology and the ever increasing role it has to play within the realms of education.
