Visa cardholders in Lebanon are invited to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Celebrating it in style, Visa recently announced the launch of its 6-week Olympic-themed promotional campaign.

During the promotion, Visa cardholders have the opportunity to win great prizes by merely using their Visa or Visa Electron cards for any purchases anywhere in Lebanon This promotion, which will run between April 15th and May 30th 2008, will grant three lucky Visa Cardholders a life time opportunity to win three prepaid packages that include Airfare tickets, hotel stay and tickets to watch the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Additional prizes including discounts, instant gifts and, raffle draws will be granted to Visa cardholders using their cards at selected merchant outlets such as Panasonic, Adidas, McDonald's, Chopsticks restaurants, Mike Sports and Habre Sports shops.

Celebrating the campaign's launch, Visa hosted a dinner at Lebanon's Chopsticks restaurant.

The dinner, held on the evening of April 10th 2008, was attended by Mr. Tan Banglin Charge d'affaires at the Chinese Embassy, representatives of Visa's financial institution clients, participating merchants and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, Visa's Area Manager for the Levant and Qatar, Mr. Tony Gougassian said, "The sponsorship of the Olympic Games gives our partners and all Visa cardholders' access to one of the greatest show on earth. At the end of this campaign three lucky Lebanese Visa cardholders will have the opportunity to watch the games live in Beijing. It's a chance of a lifetime".

He further stated, "Visa is proud to be a sponsor of the Olympics. The Olympics is a global event that includes a wide variety of sports and focuses on excellence; Visa is a global company that has products for everyone and strives to be the best way to pay.

From his end, Mr. Tan added that he was glad to see Visa supporting the 2008 Beijing Olympics. "I am glad to see Visa's involvement in the 2008 Beijing Olympics manifest itself into local promotional campaigns like this one. I congratulate Visa on the launch of its campaign in Lebanon and I am confident that this effort by Visa will be a successful one".

Mr. Gougassian concluded by thanking the Visa's campaign partner merchants and financial institution clients for their continued support.
