At the sessions, Cisco Resellers had the opportunity to learn about the Cisco Select Certification, an entry-level certification for channel partners with a primary focus on the SMB market, get immediate training and become Cisco Certified and listed on Cisco Global Partner Central portal. A total of 22 representatives from 11 partners were certified as Cisco Select Partners in the kingdom.
'Resellers becoming SMB Select Certified will become part of Cisco's channel partner community, which is recognized as among the best in the industry,' said Ashraf Arafeh, General Manager of Cisco Jordan and Palestine. 'Cisco Select partners are recognized by being preferred and trusted advisors for most small and medium customers looking for technology solutions. The SMB Select Specialization programme can help resellers be better differentiated, more recognized and further rewarded.'
Select Certification is an entry point into the award-winning Cisco Channel Partner Program. Partners qualify for the Select Certification by meeting the training and exam requirements of the new SMB Specialization, which are designed to equip them with the sales and technical skills needed to deliver integrated network solutions to the SMB market.
Benefits of the Select Certification include use of the Cisco Certified mark to validate SMB expertise; access to partner-development funds to assist them in generating demand, acquiring demonstration equipment and training; access to the new SMB OIP (Opportunity Incentive Program) that rewards partners who secure incremental business; specialized business and technical training built from the ground up for SMB and a listing in the Cisco Partner Locator.
A New Way of Communicating for Small Businesses
Select Certification gives partners access to a broader range of specialist SMB solutions, such as the Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series, and the Cisco Smart Business Communications System (S.B.C.S.). These solutions are not available to non-partners, or Registered Partners. Channel partners seeking to enhance their profitability, remain more competitive and improve customer relationships can take advantage of the system's management tools to simplify setting up, configuring and monitoring customer networks, thereby gaining opportunities for new service offerings with recurring revenue streams.
'The simple, complete and highly secure Smart Business Communications System helps enable anytime anywhere access to information and provides efficient methods of communicating with customers and employees to help improve service and increase business agility,' said Osama Shwaihat, commercial regional sales manager. 'The Smart Business Communication System graphic captures the essence of where Cisco is going in the SMB segment. The Smart Business Communications System is a complete communications system. This is a key strategic advantage for Cisco and for our partners in the marketplace.'
