With a bigger, more striking, and more vibrant stand, ENOC's theme at this year's event was "Talent", aimed at meeting the growing requirements of the organisation.

Information packs on diverse career opportunities and professional development programmes of the company were given out to eager job-seekers.

In order to encourage candidates to e-mail their resumes versus submitting paper printouts, ENOC provided laptops at the stand.

Highlighting its commitment to growing the business, the Human Resources team and Line Managers from ENOC interviewed potential candidates on the spot.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, Group Chief Executive of ENOC, commented: "ENOC is fully committed to Emiratisation and we believe that investing in our graduates and young professionals will help build strong foundations for our country's future. We have made our Human Resources department a business partner so that it can play a more strategic role in building the future of ENOC as well as that of the UAE.

"For career-oriented individuals, our focus on continuously developing the competencies of our employees and a company culture that promotes leadership are our major attractions. The response we received at Careers Fair 2008 was further proof that ENOC remains the employer of choice for UAE nationals".

ENOC has already gone past various milestones in Emiratisation with almost 50% of its Emirati workforce in leadership roles.

The company has a Graduate Development Programme, which grooms fresh UAE graduates to take up specialist and generalist responsibilities in the organisation through structured courses, training programmes, on-the-job training and periodic evaluations.

"The objective of the Graduate Development Programme is to enhance the competencies and aptitudes of our employees so that they develop the necessary skills and calibre required to lead ENOC through future challenges. The programme is open to all UAE nationals with a Bachelor's and Higher-Degree diplomas," said Shaikha Al Haddad, Acting Group Human Resources Manager.

Held annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Career UAE is the largest recruitment, training and education event exclusively held for UAE nationals.
