SCTDA to participate in Kazakhstan International Tourism & Travel Fair 2008

Sharjah delegation includes a number of senior representatives from the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah International Airport Authority, Al Khalidiah tourism, Al Maha Regency, Arabian Link Tours, Arab Travel and Tourism Agency, Golden Tulip Hotel, hotel holiday international, Sharjah Millennium Hotel, Embassy Hotel Suites, Radisson SAS Resort and Tropic international tours.

The SCTDA views its participation in this event as a vehicle for the realization of Sharjah's vision, and to further encourage international tourism, securing a leading position for the emirate on the international tourism map.

Additionally, the Authority seeks in its first participation at the KITF to open new markets with the aim to attract larger number of tourists to the emirate.

Mr. Yasser Mohammed Zamzam, Senior commercial development executive at the SCTDA stressed the importance of this participation: "This participation is a part of our strategy to augment the emirate's already established leading position on the world tourism map", he said.

Zamzam added that the emirate looks forward to opening new international channels in a bid to increase tourist and capital flow into the emirate.

The authority utilizes these opportunities to showcase Sharjah's unique tourist and heritage attractions to the participants and visitors.

KITF is the premier and the biggest international tourism & travel exhibition in Kazakhstan and an excellent tool for promoting international cooperation.

KITF 2008 is expecting more than 30 thousand visitors.
